The investiture ceremony was held during the 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting of NAST Philippines at the historic Manila Hotel, 15 July 2010.

Giving them the award is Dr Emil Q Javier, NAST Philippines President, accompanied by National Scientist Mercedes Concepcion, NAST Vice-President, during the 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting held at the historic Manila Hotel, 15 July 2010.

 

NAST Philippines presented to Science Secretary Mario Montejo the resolutions of the 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting on July 15, 2010 at the Manila Hotel. The theme of this year’s ASM is MDGs and Beyond: Are We Making Progress?. Copies of the resolution were sent to NEDA and NSCB.

 

Dr. Jaime Galvez-Tan, former Secretary of the Department of Health and Professor at the UP College of Medicine, receives his certificate of appreciation and token from Acd. Emil Q. Javier, President of NAST, Philippines ,for being the keynote speaker during the 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting on July 14 -15, 2010, at the Manila Hotel. The theme of this year’s ASM was MDGs and Beyond: Are We Making Progress?

 

After the Plenary Session on MDG #6: Combat HIV-AIDS, Malaria and Other Diseases, speaker Dr. Jaime C. Montoya, Executive Director of PCHRD, accepts the certificate of appreciation and token from NAST President Acd. Emil Q. Javier and NAST Vice President NS Mercedes B. Concepcion.

 

More than 600 participants from different sectors and institutions attended the two-day Plenary Sessions of the 32nd ASM on July 14-15, 2010, held at the Millennium Hall, Manila Hotel. The theme of this year’s ASM was MDGs and Beyond: Are We Making Progress?

Former DOST Secretary Estrella F. Alabastro also graced the Scientific Posters Session of the 32nd ASM held at the Pandanggo Ballroom and Millennium Hall, Manila Hotel on July 14-15, 2010.

 

The scientific posters were sub-divided into six categories, namely: Agricultural Sciences; Biological Sciences; Chemical, Mathematical and Physical Sciences; Engineering Sciences and Technology; Health Sciences and Social Sciences.
