REQUIREMENTS
STEPS IN RECORDING A
VOICE NARRATION
1. Open the Power Point Presentation (ppt).
2. Click the Slide
Show menu, click Record Narration

From
the Name: click Save As
if you want to save the narration in a folder with your presentation so you can
easily access it. Click OK afterwards.

Upon finishing step 4, your window
will go automatically to the Slide Show
View. At this point, you are already
being recorded.

If
you are not on the first slide, a message box is displayed prompting you to
select the starting point for the narration.

Click
Current Slide or First Slide as appropriate. If you do
not want to start recording on a slide, advance to the slide at which you want
to start recording.
6. In Slide Show view, speak the narrative
text for that slide into the microphone.

Press Enter or right click, then Next, to go the next slide. Speak the
narrative text for the current slide
TIP: If you need to stop recording for
any reason, press right-button of the mouse or SHIFT+F10, then from the menu, click Pause Narration. When you are ready to resume recording, do the
same procedure and click Resume
Narration.
8.
Repeat steps 6 and 7
until you are finished recording your narration.
9. On the last slide, or
when you press [ESC] key on your
keyboard, you will be asked whether to save the timings or not.

To
save slide timings and the voice narration, click Save.

The
presentation is re-opened in Slide Sorter View. A sound icon
is displayed in the bottom right-hand corner
of each slide that has narration in it.
TO DELETE/REMOVE THE NARRATION:
1. Select the sound icon
and press Delete.
2. Repeat for each slide that you want
to remove narration from.
TO RE-RECORD A VOICE NARRATION:
1. Go to the slide you want to re-record
or change the narration.
2. Click the Slide Show menu, click Record
Narration, then click OK.
3. Record a new narration for the slide.
4. Repeat for slides which you want to
re-record a narration.
